Q: So... I guess I am kind of "one of the guys".. but still girly in what I like to think are all the right ways. The only problem with this is all of the guys I'm friends with at some point or another tell me they have feelings for me. I lose more friends this way. Once the cat is out of the bag, things never go back to normal and we just stop being friends. I wish I was more mature and less awkward so I could keep my guy friends (I find them much easier to get along with).. but in 23 years.. it hasnt really happened once. I know most girls who are "one of the guys" have the opposite problem trying to get guys to see them as a girl and very few people will empathize with me, but I am tired of losing friends. How do I keep my friends.. my friends with no added pressure to our friendships? Please help!

A: You’re a very lucky girl! You should make it very obvious to your guy friends up front that you want nothing more. Tell them the problem of all the guys ending up having feelings and ruining everything. Then they’ll know not to try it too. If you have other guys that you’re interested in, don’t shy away from talking about them in front of your guy friends so they see you’re interested in other people, not them.

Hope that helps!
