A: A girl probably likes you if: She talks to you a lot, looks at you, smiles at you, flips her hair, laughs at your stories, jokes (even when they aren’t funny), suggests some hang outs, gets shy around you, etc. Ask her out soon or you’ll end up in friend mode!
Hope that helps!

Anyway, I really, really like this girl, and want to ask her out, but the timing just seems terrible. I head back for my final semester in a couple weeks, and while I wouldn't mind driving a few hours on the weekend to take her out, it's ju st not the best way to get anything started. Is there a way to let her know I'm interested so she at least keeps me in mind before she runs off with some other guy? I really just don't want to waste the opportunity of her single-ness again, and would like to see something happen before I head back to school.
And all this is assuming she'd be interested in making the transition to being more than friends.
A: Ask her to hang out and just don’t make it so date-like so it seems more like you’re hanging out after a breakup instead of hitting on her after a breakup. If you’re both into each other then it’ll end up being a date anyway and you don’t seem like the bad guy.
Hope that helps!

Oh and happy holidays!
A: As long as your bf is ok with it then it’s ok. Don’t give him anything to be insecure about or question – that will only lead to trouble. Make sure he (and everyone else) can tell that you’re just friends with these other guys. No flirting, no touching, no excessive laughing at their jokes! If you can do all that, then you’re fine.

A: You should have said, “yours should get here later today.” Then, later you say, “it didn’t get here yet. I’ll give it to you as soon as it does!”
Then you order something asap!
Since you didn’t do that, you should either get her a little something for New Years or you should just say you screwed up and her bday present will be amazing!

A: Yeah, we can all be a little confused and confusing sometimes. This is one of those times!
Sounds like she is attracted to you and wants to hang out, kiss, etc but isn’t ready to be exclusive or tied down. If you’re ok with that, then you can make a move (a small move, nothing crazy) next time you see her. If you’re not ok with that then you may be with the wrong girl!

The situation: Due to the proximity of where I go to school and where her family lives, she invited me over to her house for New Year's (a 3 hour drive). We are sharing a hotel together downtown and going out to some bars that night. Just the two of us. I'll be at her house for two days prior to us going to the hotel on Dec 31. How should I act while I'm there? I'm sure this sounds like an obvious question, but I wanted your pers pective on this.
Thanks
A: That’s a little weird! Sounds like it wasn’t really a clean break... You should just be her friend. Don’t try anything romantic unless she goes there first. If she starts it, still know that she’ll probably go back to friend-mode after NY.
After this trip, try to move on if you know she is.

If you're dying and think you're gonna pass out, you need to tell him before you're down and he's wondering which hospital to hike you to! A: You can’t force it. She may not like him and that’s ok. Of course you want her to love him but if she doesn’t want to hang, you can’t make her. Just offer every so often and make sure you spend time with her when you’re not with him so she doesn’t feel like 2nd choice. You can’t be with her as much as you were 3 years ago, but don’t make her feel like you only have plans with her when he’s out of town.

A friend hit on me recently during a wake, not sure what to make of it, this is creepy but honestly I haven't slept in a week and I have been thinking of calling her, it might help me to sleep having someone next to me.
Am I an awful person for even thinking about this?
A: No! Give her a call/ email. You gotta take ‘em where you can and if it’s at a wake, then I’m ok with that. It’s not like you were kissing in the back room there!
Please let me know how it goes!

I have this friend who I have known this friend for a couple years and I’ve always liked him…he’s very cute, nerdy, and has a quirky personality which I adore! I don’t know if he knows how I feel or not. My friend is graduating from our college in May and I’ll be graduating in another year.
So, I have a few questions for you. I would like to have a light/breezy/casual fling-thing with my friend. I just want to continue our normal friend hang-out time and add making out and other fun stuff to the mix. I was too shy/immature to bring up a relationship with him when we first met (and he didn’t ask me out either) and now I don’t want a super-intense relationship. Just from being friends with him, I know that he’s not really up for serious relationships...nor does it make sense since he’s graduating. If it’s okay to say something to him about how I feel, I know I should wait a little while longer before I say anything…how long should I wait and how should I bring it up? I also want to communicate that I’d like something breezy and fun before he graduates without sounding blunt, awkward, or lecherous. It’s a weird situation, but what's a girl to do? I feel like I’d be missing out if I didn’t at least consider it or get some advice about it!
A: You’re trying to be breezy but in a very non-breezy way! You don’t really have a discussion about breezy, you just do it. You just go out and end up kissing! And then you do it again a week later. Once you start talking and dissecting, it becomes something more than breeze!
The only problem is if one of you wants more than the other. If you both want breezy, it’s perfect but if one of you starts to fall for the other, you’ll probably lose the friendship. But he’s graduating anyway so not a huge loss!!
I say go for it. If you want to play it safe, throw the idea out there as a joke and see how he takes it. “We should just be friends who kiss!” If you can tell he’s not into it then you laugh it off and move on.
Let me know how it goes.

Soo more than once I have taken first or second dates on strenuous hikes; it's the fastest way for me to assess a girls claim to being "outdoorsy" while also showing off my high points. 90% of the time the girls end up failing my little test: complaints, lack of coordination, physical shape, etc.
One time a girl fell in a creek, breaking her cell phone, and began crying (she wasn't physically hurt). Unfortunately, the site all this going down with her in the middle of one of the most beautiful creeks/areas around caused me to laugh hysterically at the surreal-ness of the whole situation. I haven't talked to her since...
I dont force these dates either; they usually jump at the notion of a long hike, or even suggest it themselves.
Question: when girls say they want to go on a hike, with the essence of a date, do they want to hike? or do they just want me to take them on a 20 minute hike to a good make-out/ talking spot? Should I skip the hiking until fur thur in the relationship? Or, should I drink more and just date burly-boot girls?
A: Something between the 20 minute walk and the strenuous hike will probably work. Do about an hour of a good hike but don’t kill the girls! If the girls pass the hour hike with passing colors, then you could take them on the strenuous hike but break ‘em in easy!!
Hope that helps.
Keep me posted.

Q: I've been dating my girlfriend for a little over 4 years. I moved in with her (well, into her parents house...) about 2 years ago. About 5 or 6 months ago, we decided to break things off, but on decent terms. Only thing is, I still live in the same house with her. I've gotten very close to her family, and I am also settled in a job in the area. Is it OK to continue living there, or should I move out and get an apartment? Is it, or will it ever be OK for me to date while I'm living here? Thanks!
A: Get outta there!!! It can’t be healthy to still live there! Not only can you not date while you’re there, but you can’t do anything while you’re there. Leave the premises as soon as possible.

Q: Hey DG,
The past few months (6 to be exact) I was going out with a guy who was my best friend. We had been hooking up on and off for a year before that. Every time we hooked up we'd both say it was the last time, but then it would happen again because well, we just didn't stop. After a while we decided to make it official and it went really well. Then I went to school so we broke up for two weeks. We talked and texted the whole time we were broken up, and virtually nothing changed except I was gone and we weren't hooking up. We got back together the first weekend I came home. About two weeks ago we broke up again, but we're still talking and texting everyday, like we did last time we broke up. Should I have faith that we might get back together again, or should I give up and move on?
Thanks!
A: Are you into the on again off again way of things? If yes, then enjoy and no need to analyze too much.
If you’re not into it then move on and try you’re hardest not to give into temptation.
I know it’s so much easier said than done but if it’s stressing you out, then find a new guy to think about. You need a new crush to replace him, even if it’s just for the meantime.
Let me know what you think
