Q: So Dating Girl...
Let me start by saying that you're awesome.
And now to my question... I am totally into this really cute waitress who works at the bistro just across the street from my apartment. She is always very friendly and flirtacious with me when I go there. Even when I walk by and she sees me she always smiles and says hi and all that wonderful stuff. Anyways I was curious to how I could go about asking her out without sounding like just another desperate guy? And what would be a good first date idea?
From our short lived conversations it seems like we really click and that I am always making her smile and laugh, but I still wanted another girl's opinion on it all.

Secondly, you have to just ask her straight up. Next time you’re eating there and she’s your waitress, at the end of the meal, say, “So will you think I’m just another flirty customer if I ask you out?” She’ll either say No and get bashful or she’ll make a joke and blow it off. If she does the former, then you continue, “Do you want to go out this sometime this week? Thurs night?”
For the first date idea, don’t get too creative. It’s not necessary and we usually don’t like the stress of the creative date. Go out for dinner or drinks. Or coffee or ice cream/dessert.
