Q: Hey DG,

I've been dating this girl for a couple months and we get along incredibly well. We both have some time off from work coming up and we're planning a trip to this beautiful place on the ocean in new england. However, its off season so there will be very little going on there, and the weather is probably going to be terrible. We're there for five nights, the only two people staying at this B&B. Any suggestions as to how I can keep it fun? We always have great conversations and can waste whole days together just hanging out, but I'm worried that the eight hour drive up and then five days of just each other might get to be too much. I just don't want her to get bored! Thanks for any advice you have!

A: It’s all about the travel scrabble! Or Jenga, boggle, backgammon, etc. Really, if you get addicted to a game or 2, you’ll be good to go! Make bets on it – 10 minutes of massage is a good one.

You can always take walks in bad weather! Rent movies (or bring some). Get addicted to a new show – Lost, 24, Rescue Me – and bring the DVDs.

Bake cookies if there’s a kitchen.

Read a book together.

Do crosswords.

Hope that helps!!

Love the Madness,
Dating Girl
