Q: DG,
So I dated a girl for like 1.5yrs. I thought we were pretty serious, so i got her a nice gift for v-day. She rejected it, so now v-day is my least fav holiday (I'm sure i'm not alone with that one)... anyways, I haven't talked to her for over a month, she says she has some doubts and wants independence. Is this normal??? Cause it seems kinda crazy to me... Everything was fine, then BAM, it all fell apart. Should i give her time to figure things out, or jus move on and find someone else? I care about her, but I think she's got issues... thanks~
A: Sounds like she was thinking about this a lot before she let you in on her doubts. She was probably wavering for a while and then there was the straw that broke the camel’s back.
I would give her space. If you’re still madly in love, then wait a few weeks before asking her about things again. If you’re not madly in love and missing her like crazy, then you should move on. It probably wasn’t meant to be.
