Q: Dating Girl..
About a year ago I joined a cycling team and met a girl. I was involved in relationship at the time so the cycling girl and I became friends. She kind of faded away a bit when she found out I was already seeing somebody, she was also training for the Ironman so she was real busy with that too. In the interim I broke up with my previous girlfriend. Cycling girl and I have been hanging out a lot more recently and I think there is interest in a romantic relationship. How should I make that jump from friend to boyfriend without the possibility of awkwardness on group rides and at races if she isn't interested in more than a friendship?
Thanks, love your advice.
A: Oh, she’s just waiting for you to make the move! The ball’s in your court so go for it. Ask her out to dinner or drinks and make it more date-like than friend-like. You’ll see that it’s less friend-like when you’re in normal clothes in a dark atmosphere and not sweating and drinking out of water bottles!!
The worst thing that can happen is you’ll have to find a new cycling team.
Keep me posted!
Love the Madness,
