Update from going on camping trip with gf:

Yea! We are back...and had a great trip!

She was warm at night and comfortable by day...

Her boots worked great and there were no blisters...

Her pack was at 35 pounds...not very light..but the best we could do...and on the way out it was down to 25!

I filtered water for her twice a day so she was never out...the food was plentiful and good tasting!

I kept her laughing..even when she turned around on a steep hill with a full pack and point her hiking pole at me like she was going to throw it into my heart...told her I loved her every chance I got....held her tight once when she started to cry because we were on a steep granite rock that was slippery and she got a little scared.....promised her we would stay off the cliffs once we got to the top of this one...and kept my promise...Massaged her feet and promised her an hour in the hot tub when we got home....

Made sure we got 8-10 hours of sleep every night...

No bugs bugged us :-)

Always listened, always told her how great she was doing...hugged her whenever I got a moment...

and...you were right...she had a wonderful time...and we have some great memories, some sore muscles, good laughs this morning as we struggle to get out of bed and off to work...

thanks for your council...she is ready to go again next year...you are awesome...thank you dating girl..you have a special place in my heart...have a great day! :-)

Love the Madness,
DG
