Q: So, here is my dilemma, actually I think I've done the hard part: I've decided to break off my relationship with a nice girl I met about a year back, we started going out this summer, but I was out of town mostly and we've only been together a couple times each month.
Once college kicks off again we would still be apart, we go to different schools in CO, but seeing each other would probably be easier, the fact is I just don't see us going anywhere. No chemistry, but I know she's getting more attached to me.
I don't want to waste her time dragging this along. She's an awesome somewhat modest girl, how do I break the ties without a huge upset. I want to be honest, but I hate hurting her unnecessarily.
A: Honesty is for sure the best policy! She’ll be more upset if you drag her along for the ride than if you cut her loose now.
You don’t have to be mean at all just let her know you don’t want to waste her time anymore and you just don’t see it going anywhere long term.
Hope that helps!!
Let me know how it goes.
Love the Madness,
DG
