Q: After I finish grad school I really want to move out west so I can be closer to the mountains. Now yes, this does mean there won't be a Moosejaw store 5 minutes away from my house anymore, but a ski bums gotta do what a ski bums gotta do. Anyways, I've been dating my great girlfriend for about 4 years and I fully intend on marrying her, but she is not so thrilled about the idea of moving so far away (she is not the ski bum I desire her to be). How can I convince/persuade her to move out west? Also, if things don't work out for some reason between her and I, would you marry me?

A: Really tough to get her to move her whole life out west unless she’s kind of into it. Keep in mind she’d be moving everything for you. These will be her concerns that you’ll have to tend to in your argument:
You’ll be happy skiing and make ski friends. She’ll be bored and friendless.
Jobs?
Freezing mountain life
Far from home / Moosejaw
She may want a promise ring to make sure it’s for real!

Good luck!
Let me know how it goes.

Love the Madness,
DG
