Q: Hey DG, Thank you for your help always! I have two new ones for you. I feel like 1 is for your male readership:

1.) The other day my best guy friend and I were chillin on the couch and my cat was suckering us for attention, when he does one of those adorable paw in the face squirmy "pet me" things, and my buddy stops in the middle of his sentence, and says, "Oh my God, you did not just do that, that was so cute." What can a girl do to incite that response in men?

And an actual dilemma:
2.) I am so flattered, I got Craigslist Missed Connectioned. But, the guy isn't really my type, from my brief impressions. Should I still give him a try? How do I hang out with him without leading him on? I did the whole, "I'll be at x location with my friends, maybe I'll see you there..." but his suggestions are more like, "I'll be here (by himself) and I hope I see you there." I'm trying to be breezy, but how?

Thank you so much- I love your column and I've read it fo r years!

A: 1) Thanks so much for being a fan! I love that.

2) Some “cute” things to do:

  • Give him the sex look – pouty lip, head down, eyes up.

  • Give him the chills – tickle his back / arms

  • Lap dance?! in a cute way.

3) For the Craigslist MC, I like what you’re doing but you could be a little more suggestive – “I’ll be at X tonight. Meet me there around 8” If he still wants to be alone, then it’s probably not worth the extra effort if you’re not into it. Very flattering regardless!
