Q: DG, please advise. there is a waitress at a restaurant that i frequent. she smiles (she has the best smile in the world) each time i come in, we chit chat. i would love to ask her out but i dont want to be "that guy". i have no idea if she is dating someone or not. i never see her out, only at work. my thought it to just go in, ask if she'd like to hang out after she got off work. good first move or do i need to do more recon work (find out if she is dating someone) before i ask her out? thanks!!
A: Just ask her straight up but with some tact. Start with the ole “I’ve never done this before….” Don’t do too much investigating or it’ll seem weird / stalkerish.
