Q: I met a very sweet, cute girl at the bar the other night. We were both with groups but she and I went up to the bar, got a drink and chatted for a while. Before she left I got her number, but here is the problem, she has a boyfriend! She told me she had a boyfriend while she was giving me her number and I told her that I was ok with it, if she was ok with it – she said yes. Now, I do like the girl, I want to take her out but I’m not sure the correct way to approach the situation and what would be a good date/activity? There is also one additional catch; ultimately to make it ‘less date like’ since we’re going out as friends, I would ask her out during the week, but I travel Monday thru Thursday every week, so we would have to go out on the weekend, if even for lunch. I met her last Saturd ay so I’ d like to call her in the next day or two. Thanks for your ear; if you have any good ideas, I’d love to hear them!
A: You can’t go out with her if she has a boyfriend! This can only be bad. If she does like you, do you want a girl who would cheat on her boyfriend? If she just thinks you’re friends, do you want to just be friends? This is bad news here.
