Q: How many chances do you give a girl? We've been friends for seven years and have tried dating during that time. But each time, she pulls back and we go back to being friends. Now she wants to date again and is professing that this time is different; even ssid that she loves me. I'm having trouble getting excited to try it again, given our history. She is getting hurt that I won't give it another go. What do you think?
A: How many times have you tried it so far. I would say 3 tops. If you’ve tried it twice, you could give it one more shot but anymore than that and she’s just playing with you. It’ll be too hard for you to trust her and you’ll always have your guard up. And you can’t base a relationship on that.
She does sound like she’s putting herself out there so if it’s less than 3, then you could give it a shot….
