Q: Hey DG I really need your advice,
I am falling for my guy friend and I really don't know what to do. He and I are part of a group of 8, 4 guys and 4 girls and we are all platonic friends. In December he confessed to me that he was falling for another member of our group and (at the time I had no romantic interests in him) I coached him through it. He eventaully asked her out and she rejected him. Now he is getting over her and I have been helping with his process... but somewhere along the line I definately fell in love. I really want to tell him, but I don''t want to "take advantage" of his emotional state and above all I don't want to lose his friendship. What should I do?
A: You can either go the joke route so you don’t risk anything or you make a move and risk losing a friend.
If you go the joke route, say, “Too bad we’re such good friends. You would make a great boyfriend.” And see where he goes with it. If he laughs it off, so do you. If he can take a hint, he will!
The other option is to just kiss him one night and see what happens…
Let me know what you do!
LTM,
DG
