Q: How many years have you dated the same guy? Is it crazy if it’s been 7 years and I’m not engaged yet?
A: My longest was 4 years but I was younger and not ready to be married so it didn’t matter how long. 7 years is long, especially if you’re older but you can’t force it. You can discuss it, but if someone’s not ready, forcing an engagement could be bad for everyone.
