Q: There is a girl in my group of friends who I kinda like and who likes me. Background... I've been hanging out with this group of friends for about a year, but the majority of them have known each other all of their life, so I’m the new guy. We all get along well and I enjoy hanging out with them. I want to take her out, but I don’t want to lose my friends if something goes wrong. We kissed goodnight at the bar the other night, and I have not seen her since. We are all going to a concert this weekend, but I may see her as soon as tonight. What are your thoughts on taking her out, or telling her I don’t want to date right now or handing it if something goes wrong?
A: If you were really into her, you would risk the friendships. So I’m sayin play it casual and just be her friend. You can’t kiss too much or you’ll give her the wrong idea and she’ll be begging for the relationship. No need to discuss it until it becomes a problem though. Just play it cool.
