Q: D to the G
So, here's my deal. Went to the Midwest for a wedding and TOTALLY hit it off with one of the bridesmaids. We were super drunk and things got a little, um, naked. Not really my style, but, whatever, it was way fun and felt very natural. Anyway, I felt a super strong connection to this young lady, and am interested in pursuing things.. the only problem is a pretty drastic geographical one. it’ll be LD. I texted her from the airport on the way home asking for her email (I got her phone # from another bridesmaid) and then emailed her the day after (she didn't answer my text, got the email addy from the same bridesmaid). It's two days later and I just got a polite email reply saying that she is too broke to travel but would love a hot visitor...
Should I try and make this happen or should I feel blown off?
A: I don’t think she’s blowing you off. It is weird that she didn’t answer the text, but she gave you an open invite to visit her. Bite and see if she’s really receptive or just talkin. Email back something about a visit with possible dates. Don’t be too pushy about it. Stay breezy and see if she accepts the proposal.
Don’t get too into this one. Long distance is SO hard. I’m not saying to totally put your guard up and forget about it, but just don’t fall too hard too fast. Take it a little slower and if she’s as into it as you are, it’ll all work out!
