Q: I have a friend who’s a good guy but he always ends up with these crazy and clingy girlfriends. What’s wrong with him and how do I help?!
A: He’s probably a little insecure and needs the attention or doesn’t think he can do better. If he likes the girls, you should probably just let him be and enjoy. If he’s wondering the same thing as you, he could see a therapist to figure it out. Could be the attention or he wants to take care of her and /or fix her. Could be something that reminds him of his mom or a sister he looks up to. I’m no shrink but that all sounds superficially logical.
