Q: I need help! I watched the Oscars with my boyfriend and he has the worst expectations for me. I hate it and don’t think I can cope. How do I set him straight so he knows that’s not realistic?
A: Show him all the before and after pics. Or show him the pics online where the stars have no makeup on. It’s crazy how fake it all is. Granted, they’re all gorgeous, but they have a lot of help. Botox, spanx, pads everywhere, airbrushing, eyebrow extensions, etc! Does he want you in the mirror, makeup chair and plastic surgeon’s your whole life? I know it’s hard to explain to guys who don’t see it, but hopefully he’ll get it and if not, find someone who does. You don’t deserve more pressure than we all put on ourselves.
